I'll be captain obvous and say DeoxyriboseNucleotide Acid.

The name indicate the following: that DNA is made from deoxyribose (a sugar) and a nucleotide, wich consist of a nitrogenous base and in this case 1 phosphate group (this is the subunit). In DNA there are then milions of subunits who consist of 4 kinds: A (adenosin monophoshpate) T (thymidine monophosphate) C (cytosine monophosphate) and G (guranin monophosphate), each letter represents a diffrent nitrogenous base. As said above yes it carrying organism's genetic information.
