@christy12345 refer to the diagram drawn by mathstudent55 is very clear here one of the side conatining th rt angle is 16 and the other side adjacent to rt angle is (44-20)/2 =12

the leg is the hypotenuse of the rt angled triangle formed by sides of length 16 and 12 using pythogoras theorem it come sout to be 20
