any guesses for this one?

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Do you know the definition of an absolute value?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not sure , i don't quite understand these question. Would i multiply -1 times -13?

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

-1 times -13 gives what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no but close since \(|-13|=13\) you would multiply \(-1\) times \(13\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The problem in words is negative the absolute value of negative 13.The absolute value is the number value, it doesn't matter if there is a negative in the between the lines so the answer would be -13.
