Monochromatic light passes through two parallel narrow slits and forms an interference pattern on a screen. As the distance between the two slits is decreased, the distance between light bands in the pattern on the screen will decrease. increase. remain the same.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmm.. what do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I wanna say decrease but I'm not sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ermm check this image.. and imagine bringing the screen closer .. http://www.cabrillo.edu/~jmccullough/Applets/Other_Applet_Images/Fluids_Oscillations_Waves/Interference%20of%20Water%20Waves%20II.JPG

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it would be increase?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

imagine bringing the screen closer.. it appears to increase?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no.. it decreases :-/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's what I said the first time. You could've just said that I was right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But thanks anyway!!! =)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have ADHD and Astigmatism so I tend to see things differently, literally.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ADHD is just a mythe :-/..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

myth*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Trust me Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder is not a myth. It really just means that you're someone who is naturally hyper and has a hard time paying attention. ADD is the same thing just without the hyper activeness. (I maybe 15 but I'm not stupid. If I was I wouldn't be in 11th grade)

The Right answer was increase, (took the test) i dunno what @mashy was thinking. ;~;
