What is an inequality for this graph?
A. y – 3x > –5 B. y – 3x ≥ –5 C. y – 3x ≤ –5 D. y – 3x < –5
pick any one point that lies in the shaded region.. and check which of the inequalities satisfy!
@Mashy 's advice will tell you whether it is greater than or less than that you need. I like to pick (0,0) if it works for the particular graph (like this one). After that... A dashed border indicates not inclusive (no equal sign). A solid border means inclusive (with part of the equal sign)
would it be b?
yes
thank you could you help me with this one too? A. y ≤ |x – 2| + 4 B. y < |x – 2| + 4 C. y > |x – 2| + 4 D. y ≥ |x – 2| + 4
That is a strange looking graph. The shading is all messed up. I can't tell if it is a program glitch that was trying to make the border dashed or not. If you try the test point thing though, you should be able to see if it is less than or greater than.
