Let u = <4, 3>. Find the unit vector in the direction of u, and write your answer in component form. helpppp

zepdrix (zepdrix):

|dw:1358443991504:dw|So we're given \(\large \vec u\) and we want to find a UNIT vector in the direction of u. So we want to find \(\large \hat u\). The "hat" is to show that it's a unit vector. Recall some simple math. What happens if you take a value, and divide it by itself? Example: If we have a board of length 2, and divide it by 2, it gives us 1 right? So that's what we're going to want to do here. We want to find the MAGNITUDE (length) of U. Then we'll divide U by that length! :D
