Imagine that you drop a thousand ball bearings in a random patter over a .50m x .50m square of plywood with 5 equally sized square holes cut out of it. 725 ball bearings bounce off the board while 210 pass through the holes. The other 65 ball bearings miss the target. What fraction of the plywood surface is covered by holes? and what are the dimension of an individual cut hole?
