Simplify, and write the given number without using absolute values. absolute value(sqrt7-7) Wouldn't be 7 sqrt7 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\left| \sqrt{7}-7 \right|\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7 - sqrt(7) It is that because 7 is greater than sqrt(7) and when the subtraction is done in that order, you will be guaranteed to have a positive number.

Ohh, that is right! Thank you!

Good luck to you in all of your studies and thx for the recognition! @orbie

And you're quite welcome! That's ok, I forget lots of things myself, but you remembered in time!
