OpenStudy (anonymous):

why is it not -1, 5?

@christinaxxx @NotTim

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[-5x+2=x+6\] is what you need to solve right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im getting -1,5 as the intersection. (even when i use my graphing calc)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[-5x+2=x+6\] \[2=6x+6\] \[-4=6x\] \[x=-\frac{2}{3}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and then plug that in for x? when i do i get 5.33333333 and i round to 5 but final answer isnt (-2/3, 5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

don't round leave the fraction

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[y=-\frac{2}{3}+6=5\tfrac{1}{3}=\frac{16}{3}\]
