three girls was born in consecutive years. The sum of their ages is more than 39 decreased by the age of the youngest girl. What are the best possible ages of the girls ????? ...... give me the solution ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plzzz answer it ....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ages are a year apart each so it would be: x+x+1+x+2>39-x 3x+3>39-x 4x+3-39>0 (4x-36>0)/4 x-9>0 x>9 so they could be 10,11, 12 11,12,13...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how could check it ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you could plug 10 for x, 11 for x+1 and 12 for x+3 if its greater then all ages higher also work
