A square has equal sides and all their angles are 90 degree, the opposite sides are always parallel to each other. A rectangle has 2 sets of equal sides, all their angles are 90degrees as well, the opposite sides are parallel to other as well. Also a square is also considered as a rectangle

Similarities- Both are a four sided and are quadrilaterals Both a square and a rectangle have to equal 360 degrees Differences- A rectangle has right angles and a square is just a rectangle with congruent sides also a square is a rhombus and a rectangle is not a rhombus
