Can someone please help me on this i seriously have been doing math for hours now and im stuck on just a few questions please help me out? 40. Graph y = │x + 2│ (1 point)
I dont know how to post the picture of the graphs how do you do that?
Make a table of values and just plot those points. What is Y when x is : -2? 0? 2?
i honestly have no clue im not that great at math and my brain is just not there ive been doing the same thing for like 5 hours now please explain im so srry
I have faith in you. It'll save you time if you just learn it. What's | 2-0|
thank u so much and 2.
Alright we got 1 value down, when x is 0, y is 2. Now how about those other 2 values i talked about. What is the absolute value of | -2 + 2|? How about |2+2|?
okay, so -2+2 would be -4 or u would subtract to get 0? i think and 2+2 would be 4.
Do the stuff inside the absolute value bars first. They aren't scary :) Whats -2 + 2? It's 0. So then we have | -2 + 2 | = | 0| The absolute value of 0 is 0. |0 |
Basically absolute value means how far is a number from 0? |-20| is 20 away from 0. |20| is 20 away from 0. Does that make sense?
oh okay that is really simple,
thanks
Cool now let's solve the problem.
so how would put that equation in a graph? oh okay.
Heres how I like to set up graphing problems. Copy what I do on paper and see if you get it.
and do you know to post the picture of the graphs cuz i dont kno how.
and ok
nah im just gonna draw, ive never drawn before it'll probably look like junk
o haha ok
