x quarts of milk cost g dollars, and y quarts of heavy cream cost g dollars. The price of one quarts of milk is what percent of the price of one quart of heavy cream?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if 1 quart of milk equals (1*g) quarts and 1 quart of cream equals (1*g) quarts You have the same cost for both milk and cream so it's 1.00 or 100% of it's price

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x quarts milk -> g dollars y quarts heavy cream -> g dollars one quart milk = g/x dollars one quart heavy cream -> g/y dollars so the ration b/w them will give you the % age g/x/g/y -> y/x % age
