5sinx=-2cos^2 x+4

What about it?

geerky42 (geerky42):

\[ 5\sin (x) = -2 \cos^2 (x) + 4 \]\[ 5\sin (x) = -2 \left( 1 - \sin^2 (x) \right) + 4 \]\[ 5\sin (x) = -2 + 2 \sin^2 (x) + 4 \]\[ 0= 2 \sin^2 (x) -5\sin (x) + 2 \]Let sin(x) be u, then use quadratic formula to find u then find x.
