Function and relation! Help me please!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[f(x)=2x^2 +1 for x \in -4 \le x \le5\] \[g(x)=3-x for x \in R+\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what are the domain and range of (f+g)(x) and (f*g)(x)??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this question is part of the composite function :)

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Domain is the set from which may come the permissible values of x for the function right? since both f+g and fg involve f and g, value of x must be in both domains. Does that give you a clearer idea?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yehh but i am not sure if i am doing right? i got 0<=x<=6 for both f and g function. do you think i am the right track?
