Which of the following conditions of hyperthermia is moderately serious? Heat Stroke Heat Exhaustion Heat Cramps

OpenStudy (shane_b):

The progression from least to worse is: Heat cramps -> heat exhaustion -> heat stroke

OpenStudy (shane_b):

So which one do you think is moderately serious?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so heart stroke

OpenStudy (shane_b):

That would be the *most* serious...so not that one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

heart cramp

OpenStudy (shane_b):

That would be the least serious :) Moderately means "somewhere in the middle"

OpenStudy (shane_b):

Heat cramps aren't very serious. Heat exhaustion is moderately serious because the next level is heat stroke, which is life-threatening.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is heart exhaution

OpenStudy (shane_b):

Yes...but it's HEAT exhaustion...not heart exhaustion. :)
