Documentation for pylab seems difficult to find. There is plenty for matplotlib, but nothing for the commands I can use simply importing pylab. Does anyone have a concise reference for this?

not sure but as far as i know pylab is a subset of matplotlib and hence they are indentical.. so matplotlib guides will get you started with pylab
