Find the value of cos θ for the angle shown.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We're missing the drawing!

OpenStudy (hba):

Is it involved with Vectors ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (hba):

\[Cos \theta= B/H\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i solve for the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is how I would do it. cos(ø) = cos(-ø) So the cos of the smaller angle in the clockwise direction is the same as the big angle in the counterclockwise direction. cos = adjacent / hypotenuse adjacent = 4 and hypotenuse you can find through pythagorus. There's probably an easier way...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its cos θ = 4/7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup!
