No. You must always check to see if a solution exists. If it does, it will be at a corner point.   (thanks for checking out the prob for me though @sirm3d

i would say yes, it's possible. this happens when the function to maximize/minimize is parallel to one of the constraints.|dw:1358724692671:dw|
