helpp with geometry? pleaseee

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes!!?!?! I can help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay i have a hexagon, im suppose to find the measures of the interior angles. meaning what does each interior angle equal? lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How many sides are in a hexagon?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Great to find the total of the interior angles we use this formula (n-2)*180 where n is the number of sides! (6-2)*180= 4*180= 720 But we need to divide that by the number of interior angles....can you tell me how many interior angles are in a hexagon?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

120, so do i use this formula for all polygons?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thank you if i need anymore help ill let ya know!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Try it with a triangle n=3 (n-2)*180 (3-2)*180=1*180=180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Interior angles of a triangle is 180 so yeah it works!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay i need help again lol ill post the picture this one is a little different

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have to find the variables

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this ones hard lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry you need to post a new problem if you have a new question or else I wouldn't of noticed this.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay lol sorry do you want me to post it in a new one?

We are going to find y first since it's an easy one. We know that if we added both angles that it will equal 180. I set up an equation on the drawing. Can you solve for y?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay y=64

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for that one i thought thats what i thought i had to do but i kept adding the 72 too wondering why it wasnt working out lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay how to we solve for x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok do you need the total of interior angle for a shape with 4 sides?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, did you see the picture right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(n-2)*180 Use the formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

90 =x right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No The total of the inside should be 360 right? Now add all of the inside angles and set it to 360. Solve for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay 99
