Hey need help with this: :) Solve the following system using any method. 3x + 5y = 14 6x + 10y = 28 (2, -3) (4,-5) (-6, -1) No solution. The system is inconsistent. Infinite number of solutions. The system is dependent.

hartnn (hartnn):

multiply first equation by 2 and then subtract 1st equation from 2nd equation, what you get ?

hartnn (hartnn):

if you multiply by -2, then you need to add the 2 equations....

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Divide the second equation by 2. You'll get the first equation. Since you have one equation in two unknowns, there is an infinite number of solutions.
