How would I solve 3x^2+x-=0 by factoring? I factored it & got (x-1)(3x+4) My original problem was 3x^2+x=4, but I moved the 4 to the left side.

So you are getting, (x-1)(3x+4)=0 x=1 and x=-4/3 Now just put them in your orignal question 3x^2+x=4 And check if LHS=RHS then your answer is correct

Oh right! I forgot I have to solve each set of parentheses separately! Okay, well thank you so much:)
