I need help with write the equation that represents the conic in the picture below in its standard form. I have to either find the measurements of the conic to create the equation or guess the measurements of the conic.

Hmm this appears to be a Hyperboloid of One Sheet.

I'm not sure how you would guess it :3
But you can at least Google that and find some useful info ^^

Or are we not thinking of this in 3 dimensions? Just concerned with the outer shape? :o
