Can someone explain this equation to me step by step please 2y+7x=4 ;x= 5,10,15

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

What are you asked to do? Are you asked to find the value of y for the three given values of x, 5, 10, and 15?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solve Each equation for Y. Then find the value of y for each value of x

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Ok. 2y + 7x = 4 Subtract 7x from both sides: 2y = -7x + 4 Divide both sides by 2: y = -(7/2)x + 2 Now put in 5, 10, 15 for x and calculate y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok Im kind of still confused its the part where you divide both sides by 2: y = -(7/2)x+2 and the last part about 5,10,15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you explain some more please

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

I'll start from the beginning with drawings so it's easier to understand
