Solve by completing the square 2x^2+9x-3 Please :)

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Is this an equation equal to zero?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes sorry should have specified that. :(

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

2x^2 + 9x - 3 = 0 Correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

correct

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Ok, let's start

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

With completing the square, you start with x^2, not ax^2 (a is some number (not 1) multiplying the 2) , so let's divide every term on both sides by 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so we would end up with x^2+9/2-3/2
