A public park is in the shape of a triangle. the sides of the park that forms the base of the triangle is 200 yd long. and the area of the park is 7500 yd squared. what is the length of the side of the park that forms the height of the triangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well you know to find the area of a triangle is 1/2(Base times Height)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ya But what eles to do after that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so start with filling in what you know 7500=1/2(200*h)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now divide both sides by 1/2 and what do you get

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your equation will then look like this 15000=200*h than you will again divide both sides by 200 to get the height by it self so h=75

Thank you adam
