It is estimated that a driver takes, on average, 1.5 seconds from seeing an obstacle to reacting by applying the brake or swerving. how far will a car traveling 60 mph travel (in feet) before the driver reacts to an obstacle?

use the displacement aka distance function function \[S=\frac{1}{2}at^2+vt+S_0\] where S is the distance, a is acceleration (in your case it's zero: the car's speed is neither decreasing nor increasing), v is your velocity or speed, and S(0) is your starting position ( you can define this as anything you want however most people make it zero as it makes the problem much easier). orrrrrrr use \[S=\frac{D}{T}\] where S is Speed, D is distance and T is times \[ST=D\]
