x^4+3x+4 divided by x+1 i have to solve by long division.. i am getting confused about 'place holders' because it's x^4 and then it's 3x.. so i remember that a space must be held for x^3, x^2

oh i understand now, i just got it.. you rewrite the equation as x^4+ox^3+ox^2 etc and you do what you normally do
