The coordinates of the 2 vertices of a square are (0,a) and (0,-a) , where a is not equal to 0 . Find the coordinates of the other vertices.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the coordinates of the other vertices are (a,a/2) and (a,-a/2) or (-a,a/2) and (-a,-a/2) and this if the two given coordinates lie on the same side but if they lie on a diagonal f the square then the two other coordinates are (-a/2,0) and (a/2,o)

Why a/2 ? Is there a solution ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry its (2a,a) and (2a,-a) or (-2a,a) and (-2a,a) and if the given coordinats lie on the diagonal not the side then the solution is (-a,0) and (a,0)

so ? The answer is ?
