What is the difference between chromatids, chromatin, and chromosomes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A chromosome is a portion of DNA which forms a stick. They are gathered in pairs. The other chromosome of the pair is called "homologous chromosome". Each chromosome is constitued of two identical chromatids. The chromatin is the form that the DNA has in the nucleus. I don't know if I am clear.
