A question about the fundamental theorem of calculus

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[ g(x) = \int\limits_{0}^{x} f(x) dt\]

OpenStudy (amistre64):

f(t) dt ... but go on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(a) Evaluate g(x) for x=0,1,2,3,4,5, and 6. (b) Estimate g(7). (c) At what value of x does g attain its maximum? (d) At what value of x does g attain its minimum?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

im sure theres a more specific definition for f(t) then

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is a graph i'm just trying to get it to copy and past it over

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have no idea how to solve this problem

OpenStudy (amistre64):

integration and area are related. the area under the graph along the interval of 0 to x; any parts under the x axis are negative in value and over the axis are postive in value

OpenStudy (amistre64):

your graph is pretty much a triangle and finding the area of triangles is pretty basic
