ok i know this is an easy question but when ever i do it i come up with -4, the question is -2(x - 6) = -4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You distribute the -2 to x and -6 which gives you -2x+12= -4. Subtract 12 from both sides and then get x alone by dividing -2 to both sides

alright thanks, i was distibuting -2 to 6 not -6
