on a map, 1 inch equals 14.2 miles. If two cities are 4.5 inches apart on the map, how far are they actually apart?

OpenStudy (shane_b):

If 1in = 14.2 miles and you are looking at a distance of 4.5 inches, you simply multiply that times 14.2:\[(4.5)14.2=?\]

thats what I thought! Just had to make sure!

OpenStudy (shane_b):
