Question

can someone help me make this poem better? i need to turn it in as a final draft.

I am not very good at poetry,
And sooner or later you shall see.
It is hard for me to think of something that rhymes,
So I will take a long time.
Sometimes I even forget to use proper grammar,
So my teacher is forced to bring down the hammer.
Those aren’t even the half of my flaws,
And soon this poem will bring you to awe.
Maybe I should just stick to playing football,
Because I’m not a good writer at all.
Now I hope you can see,
I am not very good at poetry.
