Solve the inequality 7x + 3 < 2x – 12. Clearly show and explain each step please.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7x+3 -3 < 2x-12 -3 Since you want to rid the numbers 7x - 2x < -15 Since it's easier for equation, bring the alphanumeric to lefty and number to righ x<-15/5 = -3

I know the answer ( x < -3 ), I just don't know (for sure) how to get there.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is dividing to leave X as the subject of the inequality to find. So X < -3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is that clear?

Thank you:)
