Hmm.. these seem a bit debatable. B, where it says "to study in school" doesn't make much sense because, think about it--do you really need new clothes to study in school?

It could be A, to go to a concert. For example, his favorite band, or it's a school concert and he is in orchestra or something.
It also could be C. He might need fancy clothes to eat at a fancy restaurant. Maybe a date...party...meeting?
