Why we are using LaTeX?

Mainly to format math equations.
It makes them a lot easier to read! :)




Here's an example:

y=((ln x)^2)/((x-1)^2+2)

All those extra brackets can be confusing!
If I format it in LaTeX, I don't need to worry about the outer brackets because it will be very clear which term is on top of the fraction.\[\large y=\frac{(\ln x)^2}{(x-1)^2+2}\]
