Glenn is collecting aluminum cans to earn money. He has 5 bags that hold an average of 300 cans each. If he gets $2.00 for every 450 cans, about how much money will he get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

take the average number of cans per bag, then multiply that by how many bags there are. that will give you the # of cans he collected. then use something like: \[$ = \frac{ $2.00 }{ 450 cans } * N\] where N is the # of cans he collected
