We do multiplication before subtraction, giving us,\[\large -8-2|4-16|\]Then we do the subtraction,\[\large -8-2|-12|\]Then absolute bars tell us to change whatever is inside to a positive value,\[\large -8-2\left(12\right)\]Now from here we'll multiply 2 and 12,\[\large -8-24\]And finally we can do the subtraction here,\[\large -32\]
