n/6-4=4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

bring the -4 to the right hand side n/6=4+4 n/6=8 bring the 6 to the right hand side. n=8x6 n=48

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im confused:/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which part?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i add -4 to 4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you turn the -4 into +4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

n/6-4=4 in order to get the -4 from the LHS to the RHS we need to add 4 to both sides n/6-4+4=4+4 (-4+4=0) n/6=8 in order to bring the 6 from the LHS to RHS we need to use the inverse of operation, you see it is n divide by 6? so we need to times both sides by 6. n/6 x 6 = 8 x 6 (the 6 can be cancelled from top and bottom on the LHS) n=8x6 n=48
