Let four numbers in AP be a-3d ,a-d ,a+d and a+3d
Now, a-3d+a-d+a+d+a+3d=20 4a=20 a=5
Also, (a-3d)(a+3d)/ {(a-d) (a+d)} =2/3
i cant understand this sentence "The ratio of the product of the first and the last numbers and the product of 2nd & 3rd numbers is 2:3"
It simply means (a-3d)(a+3d)/ {(a-d) (a+d)} =2/3

Now, 3(a-3d)(a+3d) =2(a-d)(a+d) 3a^2 -27d^2 =2a^2 -2d^2 a^2 =25d^2 Also a=5 5^2 =25d^2 d^2=1 d=+-1
