I have a enemy,I want to hit him and knock him dead. How do I do that, well science has a solution for it! All hail science! 
I but a catapult (big enough to carry the load of a heavy rock).
Then my next step would be to find out the angle at which the catapult releases an object, and the velocity
Neglecting air resistance, we can assume it to follow a parabolic path
I calculate its range. Now show time
I invite him to a place and somehow I ask him to stand there , as a surprise is coming up.
Then I move away,setting the catapult in the perfect position, adjusting its range, and BAM !
