Suppose G(x)=2x2+x+4 . Find a number b such that G'(b)=7 .

OpenStudy (chihiroasleaf):

do you mean that \[G(x)=2x^2+x+4\] is this about derivative?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure. that derivative of x and replace x = b and the whole thing = 7 solve for b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be 2x^2+x+4=7? and then solve for that?
