What is celerity?
celerity is a synonym for speed.
"speediness, swiftness, velocity…and haste" and was first used int he 15th century.
That is actually where the c for the speed of light comes from. It is known as celerity. However, as previously mentioned it has several definitions and depends on its application.
The celerity or average speed is the ratio of the distance traveled and the time taken to complete. Its magnitude is designated as v. Speed is a scalar quantity with dimensions [L] / [T].
The rate of change of an object's position. A formal description would be: The celerity concept is actually the result of the coefficient that relates the distance between two points (A, B) and the time an object travel because a force from A to B. ( Speed (celerity) =\[\frac{ distance }{ time }\] )
