fin the x and y intercept for each line y= -x - 1

OpenStudy (rosedewittbukater):

An intercept is where the line crosses over the axis. The equation of a line is y=mx+b when m is the slope and b is the y intercept. So in your equation the y intercept is -1. The x intercept is found by replacing y with zero. So 0=-x -1 and then solve for x by adding it to both sides of the equation. x = -1 The x intercept is -1 and the y intercept is -1.
