Can someone please explain to me how to graph y = -1/4 x + 8 using the slope-intercept method.

OpenStudy (tyteen4a03):

Notice the slope - -1/4 and the y intercept 8. Remember the definition of slope: for every -1 unit on the x-axis, the point rises 4 units. Your first point is the y-intercept, which is (0, 8).

What then? :)

OpenStudy (tyteen4a03):

@hunterhoff Basically plot the points and then draw a straight line between them.

Ok thank you! :)
