Willl youuu help me? :) pleasee What is the significance of Christ’s presence during the crowning of emperors in Byzantine art? It symbolizes the reincarnation of Christ in the new Byzantine emperors. It symbolizes the connection between the church and the Byzantine emperors. It represents the superior power of the church over the Byzantine emperors. It represents the pope’s power over the Byzantine emperors as leader of the church.

OpenStudy (96mertcank96):

It symbolizes the connection between the church and the Byzantine emperors. the last two answers are wrong because if the pope himself put the crown on constatine then it would show that the pope has power over him the first answer is wrong because constatine would crown himself to show the relations with the church so the pope does not really need to be there.
