As x increases, y increases. But I am not so sure about the values... Are you sure the first y point is 6 and not 9 ?

yes thats what it says. it's a multiple choice answer, here are my choices; yes; y = 2x yes; y = 3x yes; y = 4x no; y does not vary directly with x

Well if that's the case you have to conclude that y does not vary directly with x. If the first y value was a '9' instead of a '6', then y = 3x would have worked. But since that is not the case . . . there is no direct relation :(
