hey guys, I'm learning the courses, but i want to run the code about 'Introduction to Computer Science and Programming' ,where could find it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The assignment of the example code in the lecture. You'd better to write it by yourself. Computer language is a pratical knowledge. Just try and enjoy your typing time. It will help you later.

OpenStudy (harsimran_hs4):

lecture codes are provided alongside but all recitation codes are not provided

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes , I want to understand the example in the class first.. then I write some code myself easily. because my base is poor

OpenStudy (harsimran_hs4):

@fifa1213 what you can do is take the source code of the lecture and have it with you when you view the lecture and run it along with professor teaching (whatever professor does with the code do the same) after the lecture is over you can try your own codes identical to than learnt in lecture

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks , when I view the lecture, I want to run it same time. because we have no handout in Introduction to Computer Science and Programming Fall 2008. if we can write it , we had finished the lecture. but we are begining

OpenStudy (harsimran_hs4):

why don`t you try 2011 version of 6.00 , it has source code available and is presented in a much better way also

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for 2008 version of 6.00 had been translated to our location,It's easy to learn. but 2011 version translated no found. try more

OpenStudy (harsimran_hs4):

alright so where are you from and which language you prefer ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

chinese

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here , http://v.163.com/special/opencourse/bianchengdaolun.html. you can see thousands of young mans like it .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and too many people want to find the handout or code to study.

OpenStudy (harsimran_hs4):

ok sorry i don`t know chinese but yes you can collaborate with liujie

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks. try more : )

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have the some condition with you. You can contact me with qq:583164816. I will try my best to help you. A lot part of code can be directly runned with shell. The others can be wrote by youself. No matter you are a new learner or a expert, I think writing code is neccessarily.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have completed lecture 6 and also the assignments. I type and test the only handout code is sqrt function. If you still want the code, I will give them to you. Things seems hard with the begin. So just go on^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

fine. I will contact soon .you have gtalk (gmail).?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you might want to use codeblocks if it were C++. 这还蛮不错的. what's the programming language used in the course?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

python ,you would view the course. not c++.when I finish the course and i had writed more code easy .I will learn C++

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ah. I believe you have used "open window" in the IDLE to run the scripts while doing the course? it's a video lecture, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's rather good course than that. you know in cina .....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry, i think that my tone was a little strange. lol did you mean that you weren't able to run the code found in the lecture, or that the code wasn't found in the lecture? Which IDE do you prefer for your projects?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha I like IDEL . you can try vim or Notepad++

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol Notepad++ is cool, but for python I prefer IDLE. Python power! lol though never heard of python used extensively for large games though, something about running speed problem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am begining , but I belive running speed will be faster . the broblem is hard to me .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah....that's probably why I migrated to c++, for raw power, but python is still much my fav when speed is not a problem. ten lines of code in python can probably do what 20 lines in c++ can do. good luck in your journey into python! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you know javascirp was slowly ,sometime it change...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the code wasn't found in the lecture?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sometime it change, God know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, maybe...or people will just use java instead. lol nah, i was just referring to some code i wrote. (something to do with breaking apart an integer into its digits and placing it into an array. C++ is horrible with this.........lol)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

en.. but ,google use python in youtube running good.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah! Python power! Though I think they did compile into bytes before running it? dunno how they ported python into html/php though lol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when you work in google :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but i know . google or apply will not be wiithin cn. no good environment and people all like copy copy.... 。

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No offense, but there's a phrase here that refers to the copycat items from china, something like 水机...lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when you can use webfree or goagent etc , you can know more freely. you will get to know. all will be changed here. you will see
