What is the unit of measure for the energy supplied to the body by the food we eat? A. A Calorie B. A liter C. 100 calories D. 1000 milliliters

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We measure the energy that we get, from food, in Calories. ~~~~~~~~ Here's a fact: There's a difference between a "Calorie" and a "calorie." You see, one of them starts with a Capital C, and the other starts with a lowercase c. Every Calorie (CAPITAL) is made up of 1000 calories (LOWERCASE). Whenever we read a food nutrition facts label, the number of Calories shown is CAPITAL C, "Calories." ~~~~~~~~~~~ So, again, 1 Calorie = 1000 calories
